I can't recommend this hotel. A friend of mine lost two eyeliners, another guest's white blouse was stolen and later found hidden behind the bed, and five fine silver bracelets disappeared from my luggage. Those are the belongings we know about, but we don't know whether anyone else lost things during their stay.

The rooftop bar was a lovely place to take in the breathtaking views, and the food and breakfast were delicious, with plenty of variety and a real regional flavor. Our rooms at Sunak Cave Hotel were spacious and stunning, with a distinctive cave feel and the spirit of Cappadocia. Everything seemed beautifully preserved. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and were always ready to help. For me, it's the most beautiful hotel in the whole Cappadocia region. We'd gladly return and highly recommend it.

I only stayed one night, but the place had a lovely feel after dark, with the lights making the cave hotel look charming. By day, breakfast outdoors came with wide open views of Cappadocia's rock formations, and the food was tasty, especially the soup. The hotel is built right into the rocks. The waiter was so friendly: he carried my two heavy suitcases and helped sort out my wifi problem.

We had high hopes, so this was a real disappointment. After check-in, we were moved into another room, which was a downgrade for what we paid. Then a faulty lock trapped us inside and we missed our hot air balloon ride. The intercom was disconnected, nobody answered our calls, and there wasn't a single apology.

Breakfasts were generous and varied, and they make really good omelettes. Fatima in particular was friendly, as were the staff generally. It's a beautiful hotel, but about a kilometre from the city centre, so the walk feels a little long. There's no air conditioning, which can make it hot. Be sure to book the room with the Jacuzzi.
