Lucky Star

We had a terrible one-night stay. The guesthouse was almost empty, and the bathroom was cramped and on the ground floor. The TV wasn't working properly; when I contacted the owner, they had no idea what was wrong. Later the air conditioner stopped working too. The manager said it was a battery problem, but I couldn't get it going no matter what I tried. They even questioned me about it, saying earlier guests had bad experiences too. Was I just unlucky enough to get the worst service? The manager was 20 minutes away, and it was around 9 pm when we were getting ready for bed. Does using a travel subsidy mean you get treated this way? I won't come back. If my husband hadn't booked without asking me, I wouldn't have picked this place after such a bad experience... orz

I just checked in and the room is nice and clean, with a very clean bathroom too. I'd recommend staying here. Breakfast would make it even better.

When I arrived, the TV didn't work and the air conditioning wouldn't turn on. I hadn't been told in advance that check-in was self-service. The cleaning lady who came after I complained was rude and asked, “We changed to self-check-in here, didn't you know?” It was my first stay, and the owner hadn't told me, so how was I meant to know? Speechless.

I travel for work, so having plenty of outlets in the room was perfect. The owner was friendly too, and I highly recommend staying here. I'll be back next time I'm working nearby! P.S. A desk big enough for a laptop would make the room perfect.
