Hotel Leisure Kaohsiung

The room was clean, tidy, and nicely furnished. The bathroom door was broken, which was the one issue I noticed. The receptionist was really kind, too. Even though his shift was meant to end at 11pm on 2026.05.23, he waited until after midnight for me to get back so I could rent the mobile charging set.

I picked this place because of the good reviews and regret it. There are plenty of other hotels around here, so I hope this helps someone choose. The room felt old, with broken furniture and a bathroom door that wouldn't latch properly. You can hear people in the hallway and in the next room very clearly. The air conditioning only goes down to 23° and is loud even on its lowest setting, like a plane taking off, so sleeping with it running was difficult. Late checkout costs $200 per hour, and they charge the whole hour even if you're only 20 minutes late.

The bed was a bit stiff for me, though it wasn't enough to spoil the stay. When I asked for another pillow, staff brought one up straight away and were lovely about it. We spent four nights here, and the room was clean, modern, and as shown. Getting around was easy, with MRT Exit 3 a real five-minute walk away. PT Mart and a 7-Eleven are right behind the hotel, and the night market and a good yakiniku place are about a ten-minute stroll. For the price, cleanliness, and location, Kaohsiung Travel Hotel HOTEL LEISURE was great value. I'd happily consider it again when I'm back in Kaohsiung.

The staff were very friendly, and the lobby stays open 24 hours, which made a late check-in easy. My room was spacious, clean, and had a window and a toilet bidet. Cianjin station MRT is very close, with connections to everywhere.
