Sinyago Hotel

27 December Saturday 2025. I needed a room for one night, and Agoda kept showing poor quality hotels at expensive prices. I couldn't find a better option. At night there were heavy footsteps from above, a crying child in the noisy hallway, and an earthquake that briefly shook the beds and curtains. The room had an odd musty or old smell when I checked in. In the morning I found a blood splatter on the sheet and a small bug, possibly a bed bug. I also had itchy red spots on my hand. The toilet bowl had dirt or bits of faeces when I arrived, and there was one strand of hair in the wall holder in the bathroom, though housekeeping was otherwise clean. The bathroom needs renovation, and an ugly purple curtain covers the frosted glass facing the bedroom. I asked for a high floor but got the 2nd floor, looking at the wall and windows of the next building. The metal key holder was heavy, and it was difficult to turn the key in the door knob. The pillows were a bit flat and hard. Previous reviewers said online bookings don't include breakfast. On the plus side, the reception staff were polite and helpful, and check-in was fast and early. The Wi-Fi was fast and good. The street was quiet and near Cian Jin mrt station. The metal kettle was clean, the bed soft and comfortable, and the windows open. I could turn off or adjust the aircon fan using the 3 switches by the bedside.
