The rooms were pretty and nice, but we found lots of bugs in the areas we used. It made us feel uncomfortable and scared, and was frustrating during the stay. The villa owner also kept watching and following us while we were having a BBQ that evening. She repeatedly said she wasn’t charging extra for the BBQ facilities, then immediately asked us for an additional NT$100 for trash processing. That felt ironic after she’d said the facilities were free. At breakfast, she watched everyone too, and it seemed like she was keeping track of how much we ate. We didn’t enjoy our time there. If she wasn’t ready to run the business, she could have just kept her house and protected it as well as she could. It’s a shame.

There are lots of sculptures from Bali island, and the setting feels very natural. Between March and June, you can see plenty of fireflies. The room was larger than I expected and had a heated mattress. It’s seven minutes from the city centre, making it a nice place to stay for a holiday.

The hygiene is fair and the price is fair too. If you love fireflies and tung blossoms, I think this would be a great place to stay.
