The room was mostly comfortable and otherwise clean, and the lobby decorations made the hotel feel welcoming. The location and service were both good. It was a little chilly in the evenings in December 2025, though still tolerable. The one small elevator was a hassle, and a bathroom leak caused a headache. Water seeped through the shower wall and under the floor, then came out into the bedroom. Some of my clothes got wet, and my leather belt had minor damage. It wasn’t a huge loss, but it shouldn’t have happened. The moisture getting through the walls and flooring also made me wonder if there could be hidden mold. I didn’t notice any odd smell, so maybe it’s fine.

It’s about a 15-minute walk from the train station. The room was comfortable, with a good bed, a great shower, a kettle, and dark curtains. There are snacks on the second floor. The Wi-Fi was terrible, though, and we couldn’t connect from our room. We could also hear traffic from the main road.

The lounge was a relaxing place to unwind, and the free bicycles made it easy and enjoyable to get around the city. Roaders Hotel Tainan ChengDa is conveniently located for exploring Tainan, and the price is affordable for the area. I stayed November 27 to 29 and found the room clean and tidy. Staff changed the towels and took out the trash every day, which kept things feeling fresh. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

For the price, I was quite satisfied with the comfort. We had a family room, and it was cozy with a large bathroom. The lounge has snacks and drinks, and was a nice place for friends who came by to chat. The drawback is the single, very small elevator. Waiting to go up or down can get frustrating, and if you need to beat checkout time, you’ll have to take the stairs.
