I found the place clean and the staff really friendly. It’s across from a 7eleven, where I could easily withdraw cash with my US credit card. The night market and train station are close by too.

The shower floor was made of lots of little stones, and walking on it really hurt. Still, the common area was nice, with a kitchen and water dispenser, and the beds have thick curtains that keep the light out. The staff were sweet and helpful. The person I spoke with couldn’t speak English, but he did his best to explain things. The place is easy to get to and in an ideal spot for the High Speed Railway.

The bathrooms were very, very dirty, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. Staff weren’t kind and were quite rude about the rules. You can’t leave your luggage there after checkout.

I stayed for two nights. This is a decent budget base if you mainly need a place to sleep while exploring the city. The location is great, near Ximen Metro and Ximending Night Market, with a 7 11 right in front and good breakfast cafes close by. The building is nicely put together, but the facilities seem to be missing regular maintenance. It’s okay if cleanliness and hygiene aren’t a big concern for you. If you’re particular about those things, I’d avoid it.
