The convenient location near an MRT station makes it easy to explore Taipei. The lobby is nice, the rooms are clean, and I liked the Bluetooth speaker and alarm clock combo for playing music. But for a four-star hotel, I expected more. The bathroom grout showed signs of mold. The sauna and gym looked aged and in disrepair, and after seeing inside the gym cabinet containing the water filter, I didn’t want to drink the water. The so-called garden was disappointing too. Several employees were smoking heavily in the walkway to it, which made it impossible to relax in that small area. The sauna hours are divided by gender, with women’s access ending around 6:30 p.m. and men’s hours starting after that. I was out sightseeing during the day, so the schedule was useless for me. I went to the gym at night and never saw any men in the sauna. I think women are more likely than men to use the spa facilities, so the hours should be reversed.

The location is pretty nice, the staff are nice, and the hotel is kept in decent shape. But my low rating comes down to the room being too hot. The sheets were super thick, and even with the thermostat at 19/20 degrees, we spent most of the night awake and sweating. When we asked for thinner sheets, the manager said they couldn’t help. It would’ve been very inexpensive to fix, but the hotel still didn’t help during the next four nights after we complained.

The hotel made getting around simple, with a metro stop nearby, and I thought the price was good for the convenience. Staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach whenever I had a question. The breakfast bar had lots of fresh, tasty choices, and the dining area was tidy and well managed. My room was spotless and well kept, and the bed was so comfortable I slept well after long days of travel and exploring. I was extremely satisfied from start to finish and would highly recommend staying here.

The room had a fridge and safe, and there was plenty of space. Breakfast staff were very attentive. The slippers felt really premium lol.

The location is close to excellent, but service and the details in the room were a letdown. Behind the front desk I saw a certification saying the building is not earthquake-safe. That surprised me, and guests should know about it. Basic amenities were missing. There was no toothbrush or toothpaste, which seemed unusual for a property that isn’t budget-priced. The hotel told me this was due to TW legal requirements. They provided just a small bar of soap, but had a full pump bottle of body lotion. Liquid soap, toothpaste, and a toothbrush would have made more sense as essentials than lotion. The faucet below the shower was partly broken and sprayed water from the sides. The air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted, and housekeeping didn’t leave fresh slippers after cleaning, even though there weren’t slippers in the room to begin with. The experience left the hotel seeming stingy, with the great location overshadowed by poor attention to guest comfort and service details.
