Peacock hotel

The tiny bathroom lets you shower and use the toilet at the same time, and the towels are so small they’re barely useful for drying your hands. The room felt like a prison cell, and the hotel wasn’t welcoming. The bed was uncomfortable, the only blanket was thin and cheap, and the air conditioner was noisy. I could hear someone next door flushing or showering, and everything seemed poorly maintained. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Taiwan. I’d seen its low Booking.com rating but gave it a chance, and that was my mistake. Unless you have no other option, don’t come here. At NT$700 a night, I could understand what you get, but the price is the same as hotels I’ve stayed at in central Taipei and right on the beachfront in Kenting, where much more care goes into guests’ comfort. Here it feels unwelcoming and poorly kept, with only the bare minimum to get through the night.
