Fairview Luxury Apartments

The apartment was spacious and modern compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at in DAR, and it worked well for families or groups of friends. The views are amazing from what I understand is the tallest building in the city. The ferry to Zanzibar is only a four-minute walk away, so there’s no need for a taxi. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. Tip: Just across the street on the left as you leave the building, there’s a casino with a restaurant. They have an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet until 11.00 for +/- 8$. It’s open 24 hours and serves a wide range of food, including Asian dishes, pizza, and seafood.

The building is beautiful, but maintenance is poor. The apartment taps had a terrible smell because the sewage system was messed up. The pool was dirty, and its filtration wasn’t working. There was mould growing in one of the apartments too. The price doesn’t match the living experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying until they sort out the problems inside.

The apartment was nice, but it didn’t quite match the photos, so management should post accurate pictures. The staff were generally helpful, though they weren’t clear about what was included. We stayed before when breakfast was part of the booking, but this time we were told it wasn’t included and had to pay separately. Keep that in mind when booking.

Everything was good, but the swimming pool closes too early. I don’t understand why. If they had lights and music, I think more people would go there, me included.
