I was impressed by the owner and all the work she put into getting this place going. I like seeing new, promising businesses run with care, and I hope this one does well. The prices are more than fair for Kyiv, and it's not far from the train station, metro or city centre. The entrance can be tricky to find, but someone will meet you and show you where to go. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even helping me order food. If something goes wrong, like the water heater breaking, they handle it fairly. Apple hostel clearly cares about its guests and reputation. The place was spotless, from the bathrooms and kitchen to the sheets, and everything smelled fresh. A good fit for tourists and students, with great cleanliness and service. They even leave free apples at reception. Good luck to them!

I've stayed in hostels in Poland, Spain and Russia, and this one in Ukraine measures up to European places, maybe even better. For this level of comfort and service, it's very inexpensive. The manager is kind and helpful, and the whole place is clean, cozy and new. There are grocery stores nearby, and the city centre is close. There's also a small cozy house nearby where they serve homemade buffet-style meals. I highly recommend it! :)

I'm only here for four days, but this is the first time I've reviewed a hotel before checking out. The person running the hostel is so lovely that I wanted to write something now. It's in a quiet, central area, and the Kyiv Opera House is a magnificent 10-minute walk away. There's a supermarket close by, and the Wi-Fi is good. All the rooms are shared. There are two bathrooms and, I think, two showers, so that might be an issue if the place is full. The kitchen has a fridge and washing machine. If you just want a bedroom, I imagine you can book both beds, and even then the price is very competitive. The place is clean, and I'd recommend it.

I didn't expect a hostel to be this comfortable. It's tidy throughout, with fresh, clean, ironed sheets, and the staff are 10+. The price is low, too. I'll stay here again and recommend it to everyone.
