Kasalina Gardens Serviced Apartments

A relaxing place. The gym is well equipped, I liked the upper pool area, and my room was cozy. 10/10.

The apartments are huge and beautifully decorated, with a lovely private pool area. The compound felt like the most secure one I've seen, and it's in a great area. The gateman is friendly and welcoming. Power comes back in the blink of an eye thanks to two standby generators, and there are WiFi units in each room. The internet could be a little faster, but it was reliable and we stayed connected without issues. Florence, the property manager, and Sam, head of maintenance, are the most professional and caring people I've met at any property. Florence showed us the one and two bedroom units and made us feel so welcome that we signed up for a month right away. Whenever I noticed even a small issue, they fixed it immediately. There was a little dust or dirt in the washing machine when we checked in. I thought they'd just clean it, but Sam carried it out and brought in a new one. I've never had better service. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world, including in London, NYC, San Diego, Manila, Bangkok, Seoul, and Miami. During my time in Uganda, I also stayed at Kampala Serena and Speke Resort. Those are hotels, while Kasalina is a fully serviced apartment, but I'd choose Kasalina over either of them in a heartbeat. Kasalina Gardens is the best place I've stayed, in my book.
