King William Inn

The food was excellent, both tasty and nicely presented, and the timing of the service was spot on. Everyone working there gave us outstanding customer service throughout. The pub and restaurant felt beautiful, warm and welcoming, and our overnight room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. There was building work at the back, but it didn’t affect our stay at all. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making the King William such a homely place. We’ll be back, and I’d highly recommend it.

Dessert and the staff were amazing, and I didn't want lunch to end. The steak was fantastic, and the salmon with hollandaise was incredible. The ham, egg and chips portion was small, though it looked much bigger. Everything was absolutely immaculate. We'll be back.

I had the Beef Bourguignon, then Apple Crumble with custard, and both were among the best I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was good and the service excellent. We live so far away that coming back regularly just isn't practical, which is the only disappointment.

We stayed two nights while attending a wedding at Priston Mill, only about a 10-minute taxi ride away. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the staff were lovely. Dinner was amazing, and breakfast the next morning was great too. My one small gripe is the very flat pillows, which left me with a sore neck and poor sleep. Otherwise, this would have been five stars. I'd stay again.
