The setting beside the lake and in nature is idyllic, and the layout worked perfectly for an afternoon and evening with our group of friends. Check-in was smooth and the staff were lovely. After we got to our room, my wife headed to the hot tub while I made straight for the bar. It’s a great little English pub inside the hotel, one of the best hotel bars I’ve been in, with good wines, beers on tap and a brilliant bar snack menu for before dinner. Dinner was fantastic. I had the Côte du Boeuf, and the service, setting and vibe were all great. We spent the rest of the evening having cocktails in the Green Room bar and relaxing in the lounges with our friends. The decor throughout is really well done, and the cocktails were fantastic, maybe a few too many! Breakfast was top quality too, I had the full English. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. I’ll try the sauna, lake and other things myself next time, and I’m going to try to make it a weekend visit. Well done to the team for creating such an amazing place.

Breakfast was a highlight, and the food in general was very good, with lovely local produce. Our room was nice and clean, had everything we needed and a big comfy bed. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we rarely waited long for anything. The hotel has lovely decor after its recent refurbishment, and it’s well placed for visiting Battle, Rye, Hastings and Bexhill. The ongoing construction during our stay was disappointing. I understand maintenance happens, but there was quite a bit of noise and disruption, with diggers, lots of workmen and vans in the car park. We weren’t warned about it or told anything when we arrived. At night the site is quite dark, especially when arriving by car, and it would be nice to have somewhere to get a casual drink without being waited on. It didn’t feel quite ready for customers.

The Lake House cottage had lovely views across the lake and loads of space for our group of friends. It felt comfortable and luxurious, with cosy beds and living areas. I’d never played padel before and loved it. We also had delicious dinner and brekkie in super stylish rooms. Just back from an incredible weekend at Crafted, feeling totally rejuvenated and already looking forward to coming again. This place is a gem, well done team Crafted.

The private dining and beautiful grounds made for a wonderful birthday evening last night. The refurbishment is amazing, and the attention to detail is incredible. Some places try to reinvent themselves and do it half-heartedly, but these guys have absolutely smashed it. Service, food, decor, all those details, just beautiful. I can’t wait to come back and see the many amenities, and I might even become a member ☺️🙏🏽 Thanks everyone, and good luck on your journey. Wishing you every success.
