The hotel's spot right on the seafront is hard to beat, and there's a large car park out front. Our room was spacious with a comfortable double bed, bath and shower, plus free tea and coffee making facilities. The TV was on the small side, though we didn't spend much time in the room. The stairs could be awkward: one side of the hotel has two floors, with steps to reach the second floor, while on the four-floor side the lift only goes to the third, so you need stairs for the fourth. We were there for tinsel and turkey week with my wife's mum and her friends. It had a pleasant atmosphere and a nice mix of people. For about £279 per person, our five-night all-inclusive stay was great value. The live evening entertainment every night was very good, and the bingo had good cash prizes. Dinner was lovely, especially the cold cooked meat starters. I had steak with potatoes and vegetables, which was very nice. Breakfast was lovely and filling too. Friendly staff, good entertainment, comfy rooms and a great-value all-inclusive stay.

The hotel's dated decor and worn furniture took away from an otherwise convenient stay. The room was reasonably clean, but marks and stains on the furniture made it feel grubby. Restaurant meals were hit and miss: some were decent, while others were almost inedible, with dry meat and overcooked vegetables. They arrived so quickly that they seemed like microwave meals. Breakfast was okay, though more variety would've been nice. We tried the entertainment one evening, but it wasn't for us and seemed aimed at an older crowd. There were positives too. It's a short walk to both the Tower and Pleasure Beach, and the tram stop right outside made getting around easy. Free on-site parking had plenty of spaces. Staff were friendly throughout, especially Donna in the restaurant, who was lovely. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The location and staff helped make the stay enjoyable, but the tired rooms and uneven food were a letdown. With some investment and improvements, it could be a really good place to stay.

The mirror in the bathroom was mounted too high, and there wasn't a light by the bedroom mirror. That wasn't a complaint, just the only issue I had. The bathroom itself was small but usable. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the bedroom was lovely, tidy and cleaned every day. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Food was good, entertainment was top-notch, with laughing and singing all night, and of course there was bingo lol. My five days here were fantastic and the stay was absolutely beautiful. I'll be back. Free parking too.

We had a lovely all-inclusive weekend, with a comfortable room and very good food. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast and the evening meal. The only problem was Saturday night, when a crowd in the entertainment area talked so loudly through Buddys routine that they spoiled the evening. They seemed to think they were the entertainment, and were rude while the singers were on too. We'd definitely come again, but hope management would step in and deal with that kind of thing at the time.

The staff are loyal to the hotel, good with customers and brilliant at their jobs. The food is fine, if predictable, the entertainment is okay, and the location is good. But the rooms need upgrading, and there's no bedside socket for medical equipment. Extensions are sometimes available, but you can't count on getting one, which is why we're reluctant to visit again. We also don't enjoy bingo placed right between the two acts. The main daytime lounge is too small and noisy, and I wonder why the room used for evening entertainment can't be opened during the day. We've been four times, and at this point a fifth visit isn't on the cards.
