After a long Sunday walk, I didn't fancy a full roast at one of the other pubs in Saltford. They'd just started doing wood-fired pizzas, and my goodness, they were good. Highly recommend. There were big screens showing the rugby and Olympics too.

We dropped in on Wednesday evening to eat and chat, and got two freshly cooked 12-inch pizzas, pepperoni for me and Hawaiian for my son. They were seriously filling, with rich tomato sauce and cheese right to the edge, so no huge crust taking up half the pizza. The chef offered homemade sauces too, and I regret not trying them. We'll definitely come again.

I took my daughter to the kpop party peeps party and it was so much fun. There was face painting and bubbles, and the Korean chicken was amazing too. We'd definitely recommend it.

Such a cosy riverside place, and the rooms were neatly kept and decorated for the occasion. The Christmas decorations felt just right, neither too loud nor too subtle. Mel at reception was charming, welcoming, attentive, and courteous. Loved our overnight stay :)

We booked online that same day for 4pm, just for food, not accommodation. The restaurant wasn't very busy, and we mainly came for the Sunday carvery. The beef, turkey, and gammon all looked lovely. I chose gammon and beef, and the gammon was my favourite, it tasted wonderful. The beef was pink, just how I like it. There was a really good choice of vegetables, all cooked well, plus sauces and nice gravy. The cold plates were the one downside, as they made the food cool down faster. Good value and lovely service. We're looking forward to coming back.
