Hampton by Hilton Canterbury

James in the breakfast restaurant deserves special thanks. My wife has an egg allergy, and he took her name and room number straight away, then arranged for the chef to prepare any cooked food she wanted separately to avoid cross-contamination. It meant a lot that he took the allergy seriously and gave her peace of mind. We stayed one night and were impressed. The hotel sits right in central Canterbury, a short walk from everything. It’s modern and spotless, with roomy, comfortable rooms. We slept well and enjoyed a refreshing shower in the morning. Breakfast was busy but ran smoothly, with plenty of good choices. Everyone we met was friendly, attentive, and professional. We’ll be back.

We had a lovely breakfast and a great stay in a family room. The hotel is relaxed and right in central Canterbury, with everything within walking distance. The staff were lovely, and I’d recommend staying here.

The location is ideal, right in the city centre near everything, including the bus depot, and only a short walk from the train station. This was my second stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Canterbury, England. I came alone the first time and brought my family this time. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to make the visit pleasant. John was great when checking us in, and Martin handled checkout. Breakfast had a good range, and the menu dishes were very good too. Thanks, Poppy! The staff really do chat with guests about where they’re from and what brings them to town. Marta remembered me from a year ago when she saw me at breakfast. I can’t think of a single negative about the hotel or our stays. It’ll always be my first choice when I visit Canterbury.

We stayed overnight, my daughter and I, and would happily return. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was lovely. Staff were very attentive. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great spot for visiting lots of places. We still have a few places to see.
