We had a lovely breakfast each day at the pub across the road, and parking was good, though it might fill up in peak tourist season. The converted chapel is close to the centre of Conwy and was very quiet while we were there. Our room was comfortable, and we enjoyed having the communal lounge to relax in.

Breakfast at the Erskine Arms the next morning was great. The building itself is beautiful, and I appreciated how they’d kept its history. Our room was nicely appointed, with high ceilings that gave it a luxurious feel. But the sound travelled badly: we heard every footstep from the neighbours upstairs and even suitcase zippers in the room next door. The missing ceiling and interior wall insulation seemed likely, and the noise meant we didn’t get a restful night.

The Erskine Pub food was amazing, with great service. I can recommend the Welsh breakfast, made with fresh, local produce and really tasty. The place is decorated beautifully and tastefully throughout, and it’s cosy and comfortable, with everything you could need in the room. I’ll definitely stay again. Just remember to turn right as you leave the one-way car park, unlike me.

Conwy is beautiful, and this comfortable, quiet room puts you right in the middle of it. The Erskine Arms is an excellent restaurant, with a yummy breakfast and drinks or meals available too. It’s a highly recommended base for exploring northern Wales and all it has to offer.

I had dinner and breakfast at the Erskine Arms across the street, where you also check in. Both meals were great, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. The location is close to the station and castle, as well as local shops and restaurants. I stayed one night on a solo trip in this tastefully renovated old chapel. It had been recently refurbished, was spotless and very comfortable. I really recommend it to everyone and will certainly try to visit again.
