Coulsdon Manor and Golf Club

We came from Wales for a family celebration in Croydon and stayed one night. The dogs were welcome everywhere, including at breakfast, which meant we didn't have to leave them somewhere else. Breakfast had lots of choice and the full English was excellent. The service was five-star, the location was convenient and quiet, and we had everything we needed. It's good to know we have such a welcoming place to stay, and we hope to return.

The grounds were beautiful for photos and for spending time with the other guests on the wedding day, and getting there was easy. We stayed overnight after attending the wedding. Our room was clean, though it needs updating. The staff were very helpful and did all they could to make us comfortable. The quality of these things was very good.

The bed was really comfortable and the accommodation was clean. Breakfast was great, with delicious food, and the male waiter was friendly and helpful. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful both yesterday and today.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. On the third floor, I could hear the kitchen vents all night, even though we were told they'd switch off at 8:45 pm. The fire alarm went off at 3:35 and again at 4:30, and music from a 40th birthday party in the hall below our room carried on past midnight, only quieting around 1 am. The main building also needs proper finishing and updating. It was one of my worst nights' sleep in a hotel.
