The beds were very comfortable, and the man who checked us in was lovely. When we asked, he even brought us some extra tea. It’s about a 10-minute drive to the docks for the ferry, and very good for the price. Noise was the downside. We could hear people stomping up and down the stairs beside our room until about 1am. Then around 4am, someone outside our door woke us with a screaming child. The walls must be paper thin. Bring earplugs or ask for a top-floor room away from the stairwell.

The room was amazing and the beds were so comfortable. Everything was spot on for the price, and the gentleman on reception who checked us in Monday afternoon was really helpful and kind. He’s a true brand ambassador and deserves a pay rise. I can’t remember his name. The only negative was having to pay for onsite parking as residents. I’d still highly recommend staying here.

The sound insulation is awful. I’m a heavy sleeper, but I could hear my neighbour snoring and every footstep from the person above. I contacted Premier by email, the contact form, and phone to report it. They ignored me and never responded. I’ll be using Travel Lodge from now on.

The buffet breakfast was tasty and not greasy, and the restaurant and bar were both good. I slept really well in the comfortable bed, and the staff were VERY friendly. The walk along the marina and port-front to the start of the Cliffs of Dover walk was pleasant and easy. There was also a direct, easy, pretty downhill route back to the hotel from Devon Castle. I was very happy with my stay and would choose this hotel again 😊

We went for a walk along the seafront, which was lovely. Breakfast was very nice, with cooked and continental options and as much as you wanted. The welcome was warm, and our room was clean, cosy, and a good size, with a really comfortable bed. There was a TV, hairdryer, tea, coffee, and milk too. I’d happily recommend it.
