We came up for a family meal and booked two rooms. The restaurant food was delicious, and the rooms were lovely: clean, warm, tastefully decorated and welcoming. The cosy bed gave me a great night’s sleep, and there were lots of thoughtful extra touches. It was also a reasonable price and very good value.

The pork cheek was my first try, and it practically melted in my mouth. We also shared a Belgian waffle with Biscoff ice cream, which was heavenly. The Crosskeys has a charming pub atmosphere that feels warm and friendly, and the food was like fine dining. We used a gift voucher for our first visit this evening and are so glad we did. We’ll be back to try more of the menu.

We celebrated my 60th birthday on 22.01.2026, and everything from beginning to end was just right. The staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble, and the atmosphere was relaxed in such a beautiful place. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the food was cooked perfectly. It wasn’t overpriced either. I couldn’t fault it and highly recommend the place. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The food was amazing, the best meal I’ve had out in a long time. My compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. The pub itself is lovely and sits in a lovely village. Parking is limited, and the service was okay but could be better. Thank you.

We’d happily come back for the food alone. The beef wellington and pork belly were both incredible, and the homemade ice cream was sublime. It was indulgent and absolutely worth the wait. We were the first table in for dinner and waited almost an hour, which was fine by us since the kitchen may have still been getting going. The serving staff were generally friendly, though service was a little slow. The room had a nice bit of character. The shower took a while to warm up, but we did get hot water. Rooms sit beside the beer garden, a lovely spot for a drink, though there was some noise until it died down around 23:30. We had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend stopping for dinner if you’re in the area. The location worked well for us while travelling around locally.
