Travelling and staying in a hotel alone for the first time had me quite nervous, but the staff made me feel much less anxious. I was first given a room with a window facing a wall, which wasn’t ideal because I’m claustrophobic. When I asked, they quickly moved me to another room with a street-facing window. I felt listened to, and that was really nice. The facilities were lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the bar and breakfast were delicious! x

We had an overnight stay at this Ibis, and the room and facilities had what we needed for a clean, straightforward break. Reception staff were really friendly and attentive. Breakfast was served in the sister Novotel dining room, reached through an internal corridor. It was spacious, with excellent food and plenty of choice. Hot dishes were topped up regularly, and the waiting staff kept tables and work surfaces hygienically clean. Claire welcomed us, explained what was available and where things were, then showed us the seating area. Later she checked that we were enjoying breakfast and our stay. We enjoyed the small talk and felt very welcome. Top marks to Ibis/Novotel.

I stayed after a theatre show because I needed to be in the city centre early the next morning. It was very handy for the Kings theatre. My Sunday night was quiet outside, and I got a great night’s sleep. The room was clean and had plenty of power points, a Freeview smart TV, kettle and hairdryer. The bed was comfortable, and the bright, clean bathroom had a good-sized shower.

My friend and I both thought the hotel was lovely for our overnight stay. We liked the Glaswegian theme throughout, and the room was fresh and clean, with a spotless bathroom. We couldn’t work out the heating, but the lovely young man Connor sorted it for us. I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

The room was clean and did what I needed, and breakfast at the Novotel was fresh and great value. The front desk staff welcomed me warmly and were incredibly helpful and cheerful. At checkout, the staff went above and beyond to help with my boarding pass, even at 5am. I highly recommend the Ibis Hotel if you’re staying in Glasgow!
