The food was a real highlight. The meals were stunning, and I’d rate the chef’s work as a five-star culinary experience. The hotel is also in an outstanding spot for spending time in Guildford, with both convenience and charm. My room felt a little compact for my taste, but everything in it was excellent quality. The bed was very comfortable, the toiletries, including the shampoo, felt thoughtfully chosen, and even the tea selection by the kettle showed attention to detail. Sunita at reception deserves a special mention for being warm, professional and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Her welcome and readiness to assist made everything smooth and comfortable. My weekend was very pleasant, and I appreciated the team’s service and quality.

Scarlet welcomed us warmly and was both friendly and professional. We had a wonderful room for my birthday, plus a birthday cake, which was such a lovely touch. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. Parking behind the hotel was easy to access, and the bar staff were lovely. We enjoyed a nice cocktail and delicious wine. We’ll definitely return.

Louis, the conference manager, was incredible. He was easy to find whenever we needed something or had a question, and his attention to detail was impeccable. His friendly, upbeat manner kept us at ease all day and evening. The downstairs conference space worked out really well for our event. The hotel was spacious, clean and homely, and the restaurant menu had what we needed. The food tasted great. Reception staff were helpful too, carrying my bags upstairs and showing me around the room and how everything worked. Thanks to the whole team for helping make the event a success. We’ll be back.

Scarlet was expecting me when I arrived for a late booking on Saturday evening, and made me feel extremely welcome. She was thoughtful and went out of her way to make sure I’d be comfortable, including upgrading me from a single room to a double executive one. The bar staff were friendly and attentive, and the bar was a nice spot to settle in later on. The amenities were high standard too. It’s a lovely, well-priced hotel in central Guilford, and I’d recommend it and look forward to returning next time I’m in Guilford.
