Manor House Hotel Guildford

I meant to write this a month ago, but life’s been so busy. The lasting impression Chloe and Sam made on us is a good reason to say thank you now. We booked a very last-minute night at Guildford Manor by phone on the 20th December. The family rooms were already sold out, but Chloe was so kind and helpful, arranging a room and a bed for my little girl. She greeted us when we arrived, and my daughter adored her. Chloe also gave us lovely ideas for local walks. Our room was lovely, if a little small, with beautiful views. The TV wouldn’t connect to the Internet, so we couldn’t watch the movie we’d hoped to. Sam came up and got it working, and we had a lovely chat. He also gave us some great recommendations. When we noticed a couple of broken slates on my daughter’s little bed, Sam fixed that quickly too. We enjoyed the spa. It was a bit of a shame that children could only use the pool before 10am and, I think, after 4pm, but that didn’t affect our stay and she was happy to swim. The bar area was beautiful, and the staff there were friendly. We didn’t get a chance to eat, so can’t comment on the food. Chloe and Sam’s professionalism, kindness and friendly personalities made the experience special. I’ve stayed in hotels in many countries, but this one will stick with me, and we’ll definitely return. Thank you so much, from Helen, Michael & Isla.

I felt really inspired here as an artistic person, and rested so well surrounded by nature. The place and food were incredible, and the staff were helpful and positive, making our stay super comfortable. I’m so glad I found it and will definitely come back for little family breaks. Highly recommend, though I’m a bit jealous to recommend it too!

The food was delicious, served in a clean, cozy setting. Fernandes was the best waiter I’ve met: a cool, hardworking and very friendly guy. Simo at reception was also very friendly and accommodating. Loved this place, and I’ll definitely recommend it and visit again.

The afternoon tea was great, but what made the day extra special was Mo Mouzoun, who welcomed us so warmly and made us feel comfortable the whole time. The spa day itself was quiet, peaceful and relaxing from beginning to end. I’d absolutely come back!
