My friend May and I both have mobility issues, so a restful break was just what we needed. We could take it easy in the gardens, go for a swim or massage, or head out for a walk if we felt up to it. There were mountains and golf too, but I was happy doing absolutely nothing. 😆 🤣 lol. The staff were so warm and helpful. Everyone seemed to smile, and if we needed something, all we had to do was ask. The meals were lovely, with plenty of choice, and the service was fantastic. The hotel also arranged our rides between the ferry and the hotel at the start and end of the trip. Thank you to all of them for making our holiday so good. Sad to be leaving 😥 lol 😆, and I can't wait to come back.

We started with a walk around the grounds, then headed to the leisure centre while they got our room ready and looked after our luggage. The woman who welcomed us was lovely and answered all our questions. The room and bathroom were fantastic, especially the rainfall shower. Lunch was lovely, with a Christmas sandwich for me and soup for my wife. Gluten-free food was no trouble. We went for a swim in the afternoon, then had dinner, which was excellent again. My lobster and crab rarebit starter was a real treat, and the pork tomahawk was excellent. My wife had venison, followed by a gluten-free pudding. We finished with a cheeseboard and a little Arran whisky by the big open fires. Our Australian waitress was lovely, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast was great too. A fantastic one-night stay.

The lodges made for a comfortable part of our five days on Isle of Arran in July 2024. We first stayed in the main building, then moved to a stylish two-storey lodge with three bedrooms, each with an en-suite. Upstairs, the roomy living area and kitchen felt bright and welcoming, and the place had everything we needed. The hotel was peaceful, comfortable and exceptionally clean, and breakfast offered plenty of excellent-quality choices. Auchrannie Resort is close enough to walk into Brodick, with lovely green scenery and colourful flowers along the way to cafés and pubs. We also enjoyed the drive from the east coast to the west, where the landscapes and settlements are well worth seeing. Walking to Brodick Castle is another lovely way to take in the surrounding nature. You can reach the island by ferry from three different ports, though it’s best to book ahead. Bad weather can sometimes mean cancellations, so plan for that possibility. The island’s pure, fresh water gives Arran and Loch Lomond whiskies a distinctive character, so pick up a bottle if you get the chance. Auchrannie Resort made our visit even more enjoyable, and I hope you have a peaceful, memorable stay surrounded by comfort and nature.

From stepping off the ferry, it felt easy to get settled, with a shuttle bus available. We loved our overnight stay. The rooms were lovely, and the Stornoch Lounge was fab, worth the extra. Food and drinks were excellent, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely return, probably with the kids since the place is clearly set up for them too.

The executive double room was really, really nice, with a little seating area, fridge, loads of tea and coffee cups and glasses, plus a big smart TV for streaming apps and music. We booked the overnight stay and breakfast through the Itison deal and also used the spas in both the back building and the main building. Both were very nice, and the staff there were welcoming and friendly. We had dinner in the main house, which was lovely with the open fires. I had the lobster rarebit and fish cake, and liked both. The breakfast buffet had lots of choice, including the smoothie of the day. Loved my stay at Auchrannie Resort, and would recommend it for a relaxing break.
