Holiday Inn Express Liverpool Central

We were on the sixth floor and our room was extremely quiet. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the included breakfast made it great value. It’s a nice, clean hotel in a great location, and I’d recommend it.

A clean and tidy room, and the shower had the strong pressure we like. Breakfast was lovely, with vegan sausages available. The hotel is near the main centre but away from the busy, loud area. Definitely recommend.

It’s a lovely modern hotel, and everything felt clean. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the staff were polite and friendly. Liverpool One is about a 15-minute walk away, and having a 24-hour convenience shop next door was really handy. Breakfast was the only letdown. Honestly, it wasn’t great compared with most breakfasts I’ve had, but the hotel overall was lovely.

I was really disappointed with how the staff handled things. My friend and I were both 17, and we’d booked online using our real ages without any problem. But after the man checked my ID, he said I couldn’t stay because I wasn’t old enough, just before I had to pay. My friend’s mum was staying at a hotel a couple of places away and had said we could stay here for a bit more independence. She was out shopping and wasn’t answering. The man brought over two more men. They were rude, snappy and shouting at us, and it felt like they were ganging up on us. We were already upset because we had nowhere else to go. We tried another hotel, but it had no rooms left. They managed to squeeze us in because they didn’t want two 17-year-olds left out on the street. We live two hours away and had no way to get home. Those staff were kind and understanding, which is what I wish we’d had at Holiday Inn. I’m type 1 diabetic too, so I was worried about how I’d cope with that. Do better.
