We were meant to return with my grandkids in March, but after this stay I don’t feel the room is clean enough for babies. The location is handy for the airport, Dobbies, the retail park, Greggs, Aldi and Spar, but the room itself was awful. We arrived at night to room 420, booked for me, my elderly mother and my sister. We knew there’d be a double bed and two pull-out beds, but the pull-outs were dirty, with pubic and other hairs on the sheets and stains on the bottom sheet and duvet. The carpet was badly stained, the room was very cold, and the toilet was dirty when we arrived. By morning there was a puddle on the floor from a leak.

We needed somewhere to stay before an early flight, and this hotel was perfect for that. We got a very warm, friendly welcome. The one problem was our window: it let in a strong draught and road noise, so it needs replacing or fitting properly.

I’ve stayed here twice now and will come back for future work trips. The staff are what make the place stand out, especially Zoe, who goes above and beyond and gives great service. The rooms are basic, as you’d expect for the price. A bit of touching up and a drawer for underwear would make a big difference.

We stayed overnight before flying to Tenerife the next day, and I really liked the hotel. The room was pleasant, the beds were fine and the toilet was good. There’s a little extra privacy if you pull the door across to make a small enclosed space. The food was alright, not the best but still good. The only issue was that the lift key card didn’t work.

The family and I were greeted warmly, and at first the room seemed fine. Then I checked all three beds and found hairs on the pillows and mattresses. My own sheets had two holes. The shower was worse: mold was immediately visible, on the ceiling and by the tap as well. Everything else was okay, but the cleaners need to do a better job of meeting basic standards.
