The hotel is in a very old building and needs a full renovation, including the electrical system, plumbing and carpets. There's no elevator, but staff can carry luggage up or down if you let reception know. The room's heating and air conditioning didn't work, so they supplied electric radiators that sparked and didn't seem safe. The toilet made constant noise, and got even louder whenever other guests used theirs, making it hard to sleep. The room was clean, but they didn't follow my housekeeping request. I asked them only to empty the bin and vacuum, but they also changed the towels and cleaned the bathroom. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the location is very good if you like walking around the city to reach the main sights. Breakfast could be chaotic when Jaskiran wasn't on duty. They'd forget items like butter, Philadelphia, cucumber and donuts, and the cucumber slices were very thick. Full marks to Miss Jaskiran for her fantastic work. I'd give it four stars, but only because of the staff.

We stayed at Astors Belgravia from 19 to 23 December. Both my partner and I developed several bites during our stay that looked consistent with bed bugs, and they worsened afterward. We contacted the hotel multiple times by email and phone and sent photos. The only reply was a brief note saying they'd respond soon. We never got a meaningful response or confirmation that anyone had investigated. The suspected bed bugs and management's lack of follow-up made this a very disappointing stay. Based on what happened to us, we wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The cracks visible in the ceiling and walls made the room feel unsafe and poorly maintained. I also got bed bugs during my stay, which was extremely disturbing and unacceptable. When I raised these problems, the staff were unhelpful and didn't take my concerns seriously. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The AC didn't work, and the unit leaked onto the desk, which already had water damage. We told the staff and were asked to wait for a technician, but nobody showed up. We made several complaints during our stay and none were taken seriously. The staff seemed unsure how to help, especially at night, when they didn't seem trained. When we asked for help, they just told us to speak to management, but there was no manager on site. I stayed for a few days in London. The hotel is old and small, and the room prices are ridiculous. For the same or a similar price, you'd be better off at a real hotel. I'd strongly urge people not to waste their money here, since there are much better options in the city.
