Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars is located in the heart of the historic Square Mile directly outside Blackfriars station, close to St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. The Grade II listed hotel is steeped in regal history, residing on the former grounds of King Henry VIII's Bridewell Palace. The hotel is ideal for corporate, leisure and family stays.

We had a clean, spacious room that worked really well for me and my son. It felt modern and thoughtfully laid out, with useful storage, a comfortable seating area, a tidy minibar and wardrobe, and a spotless bathroom with a large shower and good amenities. The staff were friendly and professional, and everything ran smoothly. The hotel sits in a calm area with a pleasant river view, while still being well connected to central London. The underground is about a 5-minute walk away, and the bus station is roughly 15 minutes on foot. There was construction nearby and a few roads were temporarily closed, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when planning how to arrive or get around. It didn’t affect our comfort inside. It’s a comfortable place to come back to after a busy day, and the room had good space for a family. We found it a solid choice for a quiet stay with reliable service and convenient transport.

We were here in the last week of 2025 to celebrate the new year and watch the fireworks, and had a lovely time. The staff were amazing, and you can’t beat the location: the Thames is a block away, Blackfriars station is across the street, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. St Paul’s cathedral is about a 5-10 minute walk. Our room was really modern and clean, with a huge bathroom, and quite big by London standards. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was fine, though it was the same choice every morning, which could get repetitive on a longer stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well cared for, and I enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars.

David at the front desk was a big help and great at getting things sorted. I’ve stayed here several times now, and it’s been a pleasure every time. The location is handy, and the rooms are modern and comfortable.

A little lacking in character, as you might expect from a Hyatt regency, but I mainly wanted somewhere quiet and comfortable and it was exactly that. The hotel is clean, new and well suited to business stays. It was pin-drop quiet, and Blackfriars station is right across the road, so there’s no need for a cab when arriving from LGW.
