London Town

We slept peacefully because it was quiet at night, and the room felt spacious and well managed. The hotel looked just as nice and clean as the pictures, though we’d been unsure at first because there weren’t many recent ones. Nearly all the staff were nice. The location is excellent, very close to the Tube and surrounded by grocery shops and places to eat. The lift is quite old. While we were inside, it suddenly displayed “out of service” and didn’t open until it reached the first floor. I told a staff member, but he said this happens all the time, which felt dismissive given the potential safety concern.

Our room was clean, downstairs on the lower floor at the back of the building. The location and staff were great. The bed was okay, but the pillows were very hard.

There’s no restaurant or bar, but we used the communal lounge for its microwave and tea and coffee facilities. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant. It’s a great base on a quiet road just off Earls Court Road, about a five-minute walk from the tube.

I stayed solo for two nights in August to go to a concert and had a lovely time. They replied quickly when I had questions before booking, and it’s great value. The area is nice, with lots of other hotels and the tube nearby. My room was cosy, clean, and had what I needed for a short stay, with a spacious, clean bathroom too. It got a bit hot without AC, but there was a desk fan. The TV had Netflix, Prime, and more. You can ask reception for an iron and ironing board, and breakfast was good. My favourite parts were the pretty back patio and the lounge on the third floor. For a 3-star hotel, it’s amazing, a real hidden gem.
