The Dilly

We only stayed one night, but it was lovely. It was my birthday, and they left us some complimentary treats and decorated the bed and mirror. The staff were excellent and on top of things. I’d definitely come back.

The facilities are a big part of what makes The Dilly stand out: there’s virtual golf, squash, a sauna, a large gym and pool, dance classes, and a lovely lounge. Breakfast has a great selection, and everything was very clean and well cared for. The hotel is central for shops, restaurants and the Underground, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I’ve visited London several times, but this was my first stay here. We’ll be back ❤️

We appreciated the comfortable bed, the room’s good insulation from indoor noise, and the birthday touches. The location is excellent, close to the metro and convenient for the city’s main sights. Staff were nice, and express checkout saved us time when leaving. The hotel itself is pleasant but old. The main entrance was being maintained during our stay, which is good, but I hadn’t been told before booking. The Air Street entrance didn’t feel like the welcome I’d expect from a palace. The dining room balconies need cleaning, with dirt and plastic bags left around. At breakfast one morning, someone refilled the coffee machine’s milk, but splashes from the pressure were left there throughout breakfast.

My service dog was welcomed, and the staff were kind, knowledgeable, and very supportive of disabled guests. That made for a wonderful experience. The hotel is right by Piccadilly Circus, just a short walk from the Underground. Renovations are underway, though my room was nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, and generally clean to a high standard. There was a stain on the carpet, but as dogs are welcome, I can excuse that. I look forward to coming back once the work is finished.
