The team make me feel like a house guest every time I come back, which is something for an airport hotel handling thousands of travelers a month. When we were heading to T4, the doorman stopped us at the tunnel entrance to ask if we’d enjoyed our stay and wish us a pleasant trip. The whole team works hard and looks out for guests. Deepti at the bar and restaurant is the star for me. She remembers me every time, never stops working, and keeps me entertained late into the night with her humour. She puts up with mine too. I travel through LHR several times a year, and this has become my favourite LHR hotel. It’s a cheaper alternative to staying in central London, and the service is really outstanding for a budget hotel. The restaurant food is surprisingly good, there’s a 24-hour Costa on site for late arrivals, and the bar stays open into the early hours. Getting here is straightforward: take the free train transfer from T2/3 or T5, then follow a covered walkway to the hotel. A bus stop outside runs every 20 minutes or less to T5 and Hatton Cross Underground. The Elizabeth Line to central London may seem expensive, but if you use it both ways it’s part of the daily cap, for those who know how the transport fares work. As an aviation lover, I pay extra for a Premier Plus with view room. It’s the next best thing to being in the control tower. Premier Plus rooms also have a fridge.

We had dinner and breakfast, and the meal deal was great value. The hotel is connected to Terminal 4, which makes it handy if you’re arriving or have an early departure. Just watch out with GPS when driving to the parking, as it took us to the back of the hotel. Definitely recommend staying here.

The room was great and the hotel was really convenient for my flight to Norway. It was 35C outside, so I was glad the air conditioning worked. There was a small leak from under the toilet and the shower dripped a bit, but otherwise the room was ideal. I didn’t eat there, so I can’t comment on the food. The staff were personable, though I don’t like being asked for a 5-star review. I’ll be the judge of that, haha!

Getting there from Terminal 3: I took the free transfer train to Terminal 4, then missed the covered walkway to the hotels because I didn’t look right as I came out of the elevator. Make sure you look right, it’s right there! The room was nice and comfortable for the price. I’d only paid for breakfast, but upgrading to the meal deal was easy. The restaurant was reasonably quick and the food pretty good. My one issue was that the shower barely got warm when I was really looking forward to a hot one.

No walkable restaurants or takeaways nearby, but there’s a restaurant at the hotel. You can also walk briskly along the covered walkway to Terminal 4 in about five minutes, where WH Smith has drinks, sandwiches, and snacks. Parking is under the hotel at level 0 and a bit pricey for one night at £26. The lifts are just inside the doors, and check-in is on level 1 at an automated kiosk, with very helpful, friendly staff nearby. I had a pleasant and interesting stay before my flight home to the states. The T5 location was full on my date, so I booked here. As a flight nerd, I paid a few pounds extra for a Premier Plus room with a runway and spinning radar view. Room 775 on the top floor looked out over busy 27L, and I wasn’t disappointed. The room was absolutely spotless and very quiet thanks to the soundproofing. It had a full coffee pod machine, tea service, a mini fridge, and the usual gigantic Premier Inn bathtub. Well done, T4 Premier Inn!
