Forest Lodge Hotel

Breakfast was okay, though the evening meal didn’t agree with me, so I’d avoid the chili con carne. We came for the New Forest, which never disappoints, and I’d still like to visit in summer, but we won’t be staying at this hotel again. Our room was cosy, but the landing door beside it kept banging late into the evening and early in the morning. It’s by the stairs to the pool, which stays open until 10 pm, so there was a lot of noise. The shower pressure was poor, perhaps acceptable in Georgian times, but not now. There were far too many dogs around. I love dogs, but if this is a dog hotel, it should be advertised that way. One family had four, and one overexcited dog cocked its leg at the bar. We soon noticed the carpets were in poor condition and didn’t seem to be cleaned well. We had to ask for fresh towels, and I wasn’t sure how long the filled water bottle had been in the room when we arrived. Thanks for having us, though.

Breakfast was lovely, and check-in was quick and easy. There are plenty of things nearby for adults and kids to do, too. We arrived without high hopes, but a professional, friendly woman gave us a lovely welcome. It was such a peaceful getaway. Would I return? 100%, and I couldn’t recommend it more ☺️

The pool was lovely, and there was plenty of parking. We had such a good time we didn’t take any photos. Everyone across the teams gave first-class service, and the place was extremely clean. Breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious. A really relaxing stay and a brilliant weekend, thank you 😊

The location is great for Lyndhurst, and we had a really good dinner. Service was friendly, though it wasn’t consistent, and breakfast was very poor. Our room wasn’t cleaned to a high standard. The pool wasn’t open at the advertised times, and apparently the sauna has been broken for two years.
