That nighttime receptionist was especially keen to help, and the staff were generally friendly. The facilities are good and the location is great. Towels were very clean, but marks on the doors and mirrors sometimes got missed by housekeeping. You can hear through the walls, and the bedroom is so tight that even an average-sized Asian person would struggle to squeeze between the bed and wardrobe.

Really polite staff, clean roomy rooms, and the green tea in our room was the best I’ve had. We had a great stay. Just a small gripe: the kitchen felt a bit flimsy, and I couldn’t find the cutlery, though maybe I’m just bad at looking.

There were seven of us for my sister’s baby shower, with afternoon tea booked through Groupon. I’d called a week beforehand to ask about balloons, and they said they’d arrange something. When we arrived, they’d set up a private room with balloons, banners, party plates, and napkins. It looked lovely, and you could see they’d put real effort into decorating. The manager came to welcome us, then we had warm scones and the three-tier stands, with plenty of food and unlimited tea. The staff were so friendly and let us try different teas. There’s parking right outside the hotel too. We’d go again, definitely recommend it.

We got there at 6 pm and the apartment still wasn’t ready because, they said, there was an issue with the shower door. The manager wasn’t available, so staff offered us a two-bedroom apartment and promised ours would be ready the next day. It still wasn’t ready then, and they told us we couldn’t move in until the day after. The manager and staff were extremely rude. The rooms are very small, with no cupboards or dressing tables. It was the worst hotel apartment experience I’ve had in the UK. They ruined our stay in Manchester, and the kids were very unhappy. If you’ve booked here, I’d reconsider and spend the money somewhere better.
