Crown At Aldbourne

My sister had the best 50th, and the thirty of us had a brilliant evening. We booked the whole restaurant for her birthday meal and party last night, and the staff worked really hard and couldn’t have been more helpful. We’d pre-booked, and every food order arrived together without a single issue. The meal was amazing and delicious, with very generous portions. We’ll definitely book future family parties with The Crown again soon.

The food was fantastic, and I was very happily stuffed after a pizza and a plate of chips. The pizza had a thin crust but was certainly big enough to be a meal on its own, and the skinny chips came in a huge portion. Either would probably have been enough, but both tasted so good I polished them off. Breakfast the next morning was just as good. My room was warm and clean, the bed was comfy, and I slept really well. I’ll likely be back in the area next year and hope to stay here again. Next time I’ll stick to one main and leave room for dessert. 😋

Dogs are very welcome here, and the staff made our stay feel warm and pleasant. We had a lovely, comfortable and very clean room. The village pub has a fantastic atmosphere, and dinner was great, made with local ingredients. Breakfast was just as delicious, with locally sourced ingredients too.

I felt uncomfortable here. The workers were rude and miserable, staring at everyone while drinking and hurrying us along. It was probably the worst pub I’ve been in. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a pint or a nice day out.
