Grey Street Hotel

We’ve just come home after two nights and would happily return. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was clean, warm, and perfectly adequate, with a bed and pillows that were exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, with a great selection and everything cooked just right. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

This was our second stay, and we had another lovely visit. We’d booked a standard double but got a free upgrade to a deluxe king, which was a nice bonus. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a big, comfortable bed and lovely bedding. The bathroom was clean and modern, although the shower was cold this time. That didn’t happen on our previous visit, so it wouldn’t put us off coming back. The hotel is in an excellent spot, the staff are friendly and chatty, and the prices are very keen. We’d definitely stay again.

The hotel made a great base for us, close to the station, a car park, and lots of restaurants and shops. We had two rooms for our group, and both were very clean and comfortable, with nice toiletries, a kettle, tea and coffee, and comfy beds. The reception area looks lovely and modern. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make the stay good. They were especially lovely with our toddler. We had breakfast on two of our three mornings, and both times there was something delicious for everyone. The buffet selection was lovely, with hot drinks and juice stations, plus a good hot menu. Gluten-free choices included toast, omelettes, and eggs. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We stayed overnight for the Atilita arena, about a 15-minute walk away. My partner has been here many times, which is why we chose it, and we enjoyed our visit. The breakfast was really nice. Rooms differ: I thought some of the inner ones were well done, though a little dark. It is an old building, after all.
