The way Adam and the staff included my eldest son made a huge difference. He’s disabled and it can be hard for us to eat out together since many places don’t have food he can eat. I messaged Adam beforehand, and he offered to make him something apart from the carvery, or let us bring suitable food. When we arrived, they seated us in a quieter part of the restaurant, and even warmed the food we’d brought. I can't praise them enough for being so accommodating and inclusive. We all had a stunning Sunday carvery. The food was incredible, especially the roast beef cooked pink, just as it should be. Thanks, Adam and your lovely staff at The White Lion Inn, for such a lovely meal. We’ll be back very soon!

Dinner at the pub was good, with reasonably priced wine, a good selection, and excellent service. We also booked bed and breakfast, which was good value. The young couple running this pleasant village pub have a friendly young team, and they all work hard. It's a credit to them. We stayed two nights this week and give them full marks. The outside area looked fabulous, and we would have liked to sit there if the weather had been better.

There was a vegan option for both dinner and dessert, plus a good choice of draft beers. It’s a proper village pub, with a lively feel, and the staff and locals were all friendly and welcoming.

We love this place and have been coming back whenever we stay in the village, for five years now. The landlord was so welcoming, and the food was first class during the three days we ate and drank there. It would’ve been nice to have a local band over the bank holiday, like in previous years, but we loved our visit anyway.

We were on holiday nearby and happened to visit when the local carol singers were performing ahead of Christmas, which was a lovely bonus. The food was delicious, and the team went above and beyond to make our young family and children feel at home. We had an amazing time at this lovely village pub!
