The restaurant was good for breakfast, which was all I had there, but it gets busy at peak times and the choices become limited. Best to go at a quieter time, earlier if you can. The bar was efficient and had a good range of drinks. My room was basic, clean and tidy, with the facilities you’d expect, and the corridor was quiet. There are several public rooms, including some quiet spots to sit, read or think, as well as some good historical information.

We went for a short break for a special birthday and would happily go again. It’s very central for things to see and do, and the rooms were comfortable with no complaints. The food was top rated and very reasonably priced. We had B&B, with a well-presented all-you-can-eat buffet. Staff in every area were excellent, friendly, polite, cheerful and exceptionally helpful. We’ll recommend it to friends and family.

The evening meal was delicious, and breakfast the next morning was outstanding. Our room was spotless, clean and warm, and we got a friendly welcome when we arrived. Every staff member we dealt with was polite, helpful and friendly. We’ll be back soon.

We had a lovely stay in a budget room for one night. The room was clean, with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was self-service, with a wide choice, and we enjoyed our evening meal there too. It was delicious and the service was brilliant.

The food was delicious, and all our guests enjoyed the venue, whether they came for the ceremony and reception or stayed overnight. We had a wonderful wedding day at Royal Maritime. A special thank you to Hilary, who was so attentive throughout the planning. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year for our anniversary. ❤️
