We liked the room, it was welcoming and had all the amenities we could want for a pre-Christmas break. The food was so good that we ate at the hotel for the whole stay. The menu is a good reflection on the hotel, and the dishes were well cooked and creatively presented. On our last night the chef made us a delicious meal from a different menu. The staff were brilliant, clearly cared about their work and were happy to help or give advice on places to go. It's a great base for visiting small local towns or walking in some amazing spots.

We loved staying here over Valentine's. The suite, the ivelet, was great, and we really enjoyed our meal too. The chef is excellent, and the staff are friendly. Perfect location.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was a delicious full English. We had a lovely large room with an amazing view over Reeth. It's a beautiful hotel in a lovely old building, and I'd highly recommend it.

The bathroom was absolutely huge, and we had a lovely view from our room. The rooms and breakfast were lovely too. Staff were so nice and helpful. Lovely hotel in a perfect location, highly recommend.

The booking had a few snags and we didn't have a room when we arrived, but the hotel handled it really well and found solutions. We ended up having a lovely stay. It's a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, with a gorgeous view of the village and a superb mountain backdrop just outside.
