The Kings Head Hotel

Laura looked after us so well, even squeezing us in for a meal on our first night because we were residents, although the restaurant was busy. We'd definitely stay again. We were there for two nights with friends in a beautiful old building, centrally placed for exploring Richmond, and both rooms were lovely. There were nice toiletries, a selection of teas and a coffee machine. The staff really are the star of the place.

We had a lovely stay at the King's head Richmond. The evening meal was nice, and we especially enjoyed Sunday lunch. Sunday service was faultless, with all the staff very friendly and excellent. Amy & Millie looked after us and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, making us feel comfortable throughout. The staff were welcoming and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was warm, comfortable and very quiet, just right for a great night's sleep. We look forward to coming again soon.

The room was beautiful and big, with a comfy bed, and the food was fantastic at dinner and breakfast. Laura was exceptional, and they accommodated our baby at the last minute. The Valentine's setup was lovely and thoughtful. A couple of things could've been better: the bathroom wasn't clean enough, the specials board was blank, and there was no staff around when we went to check out. Still, we'd recommend it to friends and family and return if we're in the area.

The location couldn't have been better, and the staff were excellent and helpful, but the room we got left a lot to be desired. My wife and I shared a tired room with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and plaster missing from both front corners of the bay window. The inside window sill had been repaired but not painted, and the excess filler hadn't been removed. It didn't look like a recent repair. It wasn't what we expected from a 4* hotel.
