The Ryedale

At the Ryedale, the little details were taken care of every day. Tea, coffee, and nibbles were replenished, the room was refreshed, and the towels were checked to see if they needed replacing. The room was beautiful, very clean, and freshly decorated with good taste; the bed was comfortable too. Hailey and John were the best hosts, sharing current advice on local places to see and visit. We had a wonderful Easter break, with a warm welcome, a great location, and breakfast to round it out. We'd visit again, 100%. Thanks!

Our baby especially loved staying here. It really felt like another home away from home, with friendly hosts and a perfect breakfast. The rooms were tidy and clean, compact but thoughtfully designed with all the essentials. Hayley and John were fantastic. The train station is nearby, and there's a bus stop right outside.

The location was so convenient: three minutes on foot to the train station, a bus stop right outside, and about a ten-minute walk to both the seafront and the old town. I stayed four nights in spring and highly recommend it. The single room was about the usual size for a B&B, in my experience, but thoughtfully laid out with nice amenities and touches. I'm a clean freak and have stayed in loads of places all over as a nomad, and this is one of the rare accommodations that passed my test. The host couple were friendly and accommodating, and genuinely seemed to have guests' best interests in mind. The breakfast setup was nice, and being able to keep little items in the fridge and use utensils to eat takeaways in the breakfast room was a thoughtful touch. My family has stayed at the Ryedale for years, and we always have a great time. The owners are warm and lovely, and the rooms are spotless, with great decor and a relaxed, welcoming feel. They were very accommodating for vegans too, with delicious breakfast choices and vegan chocolate treats in our rooms. Highly recommended!
