Mayvene

You’re only a stone’s throw from the seafront at this clean, comfy guesthouse. The cosy rooms have en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee, and a hairdryer, and getting in with the key safe was easy. All at a very competitive price. Highly recommended!

We chose the Mayvene for a one-night break in Skegness on Sunday 25th August, so we could enjoy Bank Holiday Monday. It’s close to the pier and attractions, with a car park opposite and roadside parking too, as long as you avoid the marked bays. The room was clean and tidy, had everything we needed, and the bed was clean and well aired. There’s also a sitting room downstairs if you want to relax. I ran into Angie while we were taking our bags out. She was lovely and went out of her way to explain how to get into the hotel, where to park, and where not to. Breakfast isn’t provided, but there are plenty of nearby places with a good choice. This review’s a bit long, but Angie deserves the kind words. Hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to stay again. Ange, the owner, gave us a really warm welcome and made us feel at home. Our room felt like home too, with good amenities, a comfy bed, and everything very clean. We slept well. The only thing I missed was a cooked breakfast, though fingers crossed Ange might consider offering one in future. I’d definitely recommend the property. John & Michelle, Nottingham
