The Roebuck Inn

The Indian restaurant was a highlight for me. The food was great, and the menu had some welcome differences from the usual traditional Indian options. The bar is in an old 15th century building with original features in places, and the lager was good. My room was clean and tidy, with plenty of tea and coffee, shower gel and fresh towels. Friendly, helpful staff and good value for money. I'd definitely return.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and I had a very comfortable, quiet night's sleep. My room was clean and tidy, with everything I needed, spotless linen and towels, and an excellent shower. The communal area on the hotel side was a bit tired. It's an historic building with its own challenges and a more modern room addition at the back, so it won't feel like a pristine modern chain hotel. I'd visited the pub a few times before but hadn't stayed; I booked direct for the best value and because the location suited me. I'd choose to stay here again over the town's more modern options.

The breakfast was lovely, well cooked and made with good quality ingredients. Our room was spacious, pleasant and clean, and the place has an old world charm. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a pleasant stay and would definitely come back if we needed accommodation in the area.

The food was superb and delicious, and the waiting staff were amazing. I stayed at the hotel and ate in the restaurant. The rooms were good for the price, with no complaints.
