Beaufort Lodge worked well for us. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great bed, and we felt safe leaving the car in the free parking. We mainly wanted somewhere warm near the centre after such dreadful weather, so we could get to supper without a long walk. It suited us just fine.

The location is really good, and the room looked clean and nicely presented. But the WiFi didn't work at all. The coffee machine in the room was filthy, and even after waiting five minutes, there was no hot water from either the taps or the shower.

There was no breakfast or dining at the lodge, though the city centre is only about a five-minute walk away. I found it good value and would come back. My ensuite room was spotless, well equipped, and a comfortable temperature. Finding the place was easy, parking was plentiful when I arrived, and the check-in and check-out communication was very good.

Richard was a really helpful host, and there was plenty of parking at the front with CCTV monitoring. Beaufort Lodge is also handy for Tesco if you want to pick up an inexpensive breakfast or a snack, and the centre is an easy walk away. I'm glad we picked this little gem over a bland chain hotel.

The room was fantastic, spotless, and tastefully done, from the bed to the bathroom. My partner and I stayed for a couple of days and are already looking forward to coming back. The location made it easy to walk into town, with a large Tesco nearby, and the premises are accessible around the clock. Check-in was effortless, and support is available 24 hours if needed. The host was polite, attentive, and incredibly helpful.
