The Windmill Inn

After a beach walk, we stopped in today and I’d highly recommend it. The staff were genuinely friendly and couldn’t have been more accommodating. As a vegetarian, I don’t always think of a carvery as the obvious choice, but the squash and Stilton vegetarian option was superb, and the rest of the carvery was excellent too. The price felt fair. They didn’t automatically add a tip, but I was very happy to leave one. I’ll definitely visit again.

The food was excellent, with perfectly cooked meat and a really generous range of vegetables, all at a very competitive price. Liz welcomed us, seated us and introduced our server Orla, so we knew who was looking after us. Orla was attentive without making us feel rushed or fussed over. She took lovely care of us, and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to everyone for such a relaxed Christmas dinner.

Liv was attentive and considerate throughout our fantastic meal last night. She understood my son’s dairy allergy and reassured us, so we could enjoy the delicious food safely. Thank you!

We gave The Windmill another try after a disappointing visit years ago, and I’m really glad we did. The Sunday carvery was spot on, with excellent meat and very generous portions. The service stood out most. Anya was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the young man carving the meat was friendly and efficient, and did a superb job. It’s great to see the place turn things around. We’ll be making it a regular spot from now on.
