Premier Inn Taunton Ruishton - M5 J25

Everything was clean and fresh, and the shower had a seriously strong flow. The parking and location were spot on, too. The staff were great all round, especially the breakfast chef, who made the most of every ingredient and took real care with my poached eggs. It does exactly what it promises. Thanks, everyone.

Breakfast was hot each morning, and the chef even had time for a chat. Nothing seemed too much trouble, including the housekeeper bringing extra towels. The receptionist was friendly when we arrived, and the room was lovely and warm. It was much larger than we needed and very clean. The air-conditioning took some figuring out, but we got it working. We were on the first floor. There’s no lift, though only a few stairs to our room. One thing to watch: the speed bump at the car park entrance caught us out. We were told it’s temporary while some cabling is being fixed. Thanks for a great stay.

The hotel is in a handy spot just off the M5 for heading south, and we had a lovely short family stay. Inside, our room was warm and clean, with no cleanliness issues at all. The building is dated and a bit tatty on the outside, but the staff were helpful throughout. Sonia and Trudy at breakfast were particularly great, with lovely service and perfectly poached eggs. Thanks to the whole team for making our visit such a good one.

The room was a good size, and the shower over the bath had decent pressure. But the carpet and armchair were covered in dirt, skin, or some kind of stuff, and there was what looked like nail varnish on the towels. I was too exhausted to check the sheets, so I slept on top of the covers.
