The Snooty Fox

The staff are what really set this place apart. Every person I met was friendly, polite, and eager to help. When I was carrying a large, heavy folded dog crate from the front door to reception, three staff members each immediately offered to take it up to the top floor for me. That was typical of every interaction, and no question or request seemed like too much trouble. The centre of Tetbury is a perfect location, and the small town is lovely. The hotel has an informal pub feel, with a bar at the front, a separate drinking and eating area to the right, and a restaurant farther back. Rooms are on several floors above, so check about access if you have accessibility needs. Parking is limited in the town centre, but short stay spaces are a minute away, several other car parks are within a five minute walk, and a large free long stay car park is about a 7 minute walk away. We stayed in room 12, one of the unrenovated rooms at the top. It was charming, quiet, and private, and I'd choose it again any day. The food and breakfast were good, and I liked the beer selection, including several cask ales. Like the rest of Tetbury, it's very dog friendly, with dogs welcome everywhere. There's lots to do nearby, with lovely walks and shops. We'll definitely revisit.

We were visiting family in Tetbury and stayed for a night. The Snooty fox was super, with delicious food and comfortable, spacious rooms. It was the most dog friendly place we've stayed, and we felt right at home. The staff went above and beyond to make us welcome. I'm glad we found it, and it'll be our first choice whenever we're back in Tetbury. Thank you.

The Guinness was superb and the food was great. We visited from Cardiff,Wales on 28/11/25 for a memorable lunch in a beautiful setting. Staff gave my partner and me such a warm welcome that we felt completely at home. We'll most certainly be back soon to stay overnight. From what we experienced, we couldn't fault it. Parking makes this place a bit tricky to visit, and we arrived late for our booked afternoon tea. But Chris, our waiter, was fantastic, friendly, professional, and attentive. The sandwiches and cake were delightful. Highly recommended.
