Dinner was first class: I had the chicken and hubs had the pie, and both were delicious. Breakfast was fabulous too, with perfect poached eggs. The staff all seemed happy, which feels unusual these days. Everyone was lovely, from the reception lady to the young blonde chap serving breakfast, and a big thanks to the chef and kitchen staff. What a fantastic place, with an amazing atmosphere and a proper traditional bar, restaurant, and hotel. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. This place is a gem, and we’ll be back very soon. See you soon X

On a recent weekday evening, the pub was packed, which gives you an idea of its reputation. The Bell has a lovely set of individually decorated rooms in the grounds of a 16th-century pub, with high-end bathrooms. Breakfast was included in the very reasonable room rate, and there were fantastic options. We’ll return one summer to eat outside on the spacious patio. The Bell is a real gem for anyone looking for a unique experience.

The natural light in the preparation rooms is fantastic for photography, and the ceremony room looks gorgeous on camera, with a rustic, intimate feel. The gardens made a stunning backdrop for Ciara and Alex’s guests after the ceremony, and the firepit gave the evening celebrations a cozy, lively focal point. There’s also high-quality accommodation on site. I’ve worked at many venues, and The Bell in Ticehurst is one of the most characterful and flexible. It’s a quirky, stylish option for couples who want a stress-free wedding day. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was superb. My only suggestion would be to adjust the food options, though what they do offer is lovely. The rooms are awesome and comfortable, and the service and venue were incredible. I had the privilege of watching my daughter get married here. It’s a super quirky place, with a surprise around every corner. I’d definitely recommend it for a wedding or large gathering.
