Queenswood Hotel
About this property
The Queenswood is a 5-minute walk from the seafront with a sunny, south-facing elevated position and commanding panoramic views. The hotel is a tastefully-converted, 100-year old building mixing old and new styles. It has been run by the same family since 1969. The seafront is only minutes away and a short pleasant walk through Grove Park takes you to the town centre, the theatre and other attractions of this very popular resort. Within 22 miles of Bristol, Avonmouth and Clevedon, and 60 miles from Cardiff, Weston-super-Mare has all the benefits of a seaside town.

After work on Friday, we drove up from Hampshire and took longer to get here than expected. The owner met us in the car park and kindly helped us fit the car in. Our top-floor room was spacious, very clean, and had a lovely sea view. We both like a firm mattress and found the bed very comfortable. The TV channels were adequate, but we barely spent time in the room with all the walks, beach, pier, and restaurants nearby. It was our first trip to WSM, and we had an amazing time exploring. Breakfast was amazing. I’d definitely recommend the full English, which kept us going for most of the day while we did so much walking. All the staff were polite, friendly, and made us feel welcome. Everything gets five stars from us except the fairly steep hill back up from the Promenade to the hotel. Apart from that, it was a fantastic first stay, and we’d definitely recommend it.

Breakfast can be brought to your room, so you can eat on the balcony looking out to sea, or you can have it in the dining area. We had a huge bed, and the decor was very nice. The bath and shower were big, and everything was clean. There’s a bar with a good range of drinks and plenty of parking nearby. The owners were friendly and helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The hotel is a minute from the seafront and close to some lovely restaurants. We had a great couple of days away and would definitely visit again.

The room had a fantastic view and felt clean and modern, while the rest of the hotel had a homely, historic feel. Andrew was friendly and made us feel welcome. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the seafront but far enough away to be peaceful. My partner and I had a fantastic two-night stay and would definitely recommend it and come back.

We had a lovely room with a balcony and sea view, and really liked the bathroom with its bath and shower. We skipped breakfast because we left early. At reception, the manager recommended some good places to eat and drink, which we appreciated in this area. We loved everything about the hotel.

The staff were welcoming, and breakfast was really good quality, cooked just right and served piping hot. It’s a great B&B, with a lovely, clean room and a sea view.
