The restaurant was excellent, especially at breakfast, and parking on-site made things easy. We’ve stayed at the Alexandrian twice, and both visits impressed me. It’s a great base for exploring Old Town Alexandria. Corrina and later Mashira were warm and helpful, and Chris stood out as well. Everyone made us feel welcome and valued. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. I’d gladly stay again.

Bella and Sam did everything they could to help us through a string of room changes. They gave us free parking, breakfast each day, and about 40k Bonvoy points. The staff deserves five stars, but there were problems with nearly everything else, and breakfast wasn’t great. Our first room had a closet doorknob that fell off. I brought it to the front desk, and Bella offered another room, which we appreciated. In the second room, the heater didn’t work. The third room was okay at first, though the sink leaked and there were one or two bugs flying around. I got two bites. We stayed there two nights, but the heat failed the second night. The first radiator they brought was broken, and the replacement didn’t help much. The room only got to about 72 to 74 degrees, and the large balcony door let warm and cool air mix. Then we moved to a fourth room with dog hair across the floor and upholstery. It didn’t seem cleaned. The fifth room was fine, but we didn’t get there until around 2 in the morning, just as we were preparing to leave.

King St. made it easy to find things to do, and the staff made us feel welcome and appreciated. My wife and I spent two special days here just after Christmas. We had a Jacuzzi room, and the tub was amazing. I loved the room, and my wife was especially happy with the robes. Our balcony looked out over the center of the place, which was really neat. There’s a nice restaurant and cool-looking art in the hotel. It was costly, but worth every penny for a memorable stay. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Chef Victor put together a lovely spread of fruit, nuts, cheese, and desserts. The room was comfortable, clean, and well decorated, and we felt right at home during our holiday return to The Alexandrian. Sam, the general manager, and his whole team went out of their way to welcome us. Everyone, from the front door to the front desk, was exceptional. We’re already looking forward to a spring visit. Thanks again, Sam, for making us feel at home. Dr. Eileen Fontanetta & Rob Byrne

We’ve stayed here a few times and would come back. It’s a nice Alexandria hotel, with many restaurants and shops an easy walk away. The beds are comfortable, and the terrace balcony faces a quiet courtyard. Garage parking downstairs is convenient.
